In good hands

Max comforts Liger on the ride home from the vet this morning (sans claws & reproductive organs -- the cat, not Max). Liger and Bell are quite distressed from the ordeal but they are in loving hands now.

The long way home

Alas, the weekend is over and we're on our way home. Snapped this photo of our bored children during our layover in Memphis (Check out Trev in the middle). Uncle Scott's gut fills the lower-right-hand corner or the photo.

The 3 Chinamen

This picture only took 5 minutes of yelling & cajoling to get this sqinty-eyed crew to give me the above pic. The boys are spending most of their time at the reunion enjoying the pool, the hot tub, and each other.

Road Trip

I am in Indiana for the weekend with my boys for the annual Labor Day party at my Dad's house in Winchester. Snapped this pic of Maxwell (on the right) and my nephew, Alan, on the drive up. Naturally, Trevor was asleep in the back again (See Dr. Jeckyl & Mr. Hyde post). Max and Alan are trying to act like well-behaved fine young men but you must remember that this picture only represents a millisecond of their behavior and any child can behave for that long.

Hallelujah!

I have lights. I have air conditioning. I have television. I have refrigeration. I have a washer and dryer. I have a stove. I have an alarm. I have happiness. I have electricity.

Still without electric...

...but not complaining. Granted, being without electric isn't too much fun. However, after watching Katrina and the battle of New Orleans, I ain't complaining. My boys are fine and we still have a home and all of our possessions.

Katrina has taught me a valuable lesson and given me a new resolve to come up with a hurricane plan. I don't want to get wiped out when the big one hits Fort Lauderdale...and sooner or later she will come calling.

She was a hurricane

Katrina snuck up on South Florida and turned into a category 1 hurricane at the last minute. No one I know expected it to be this bad (I first heard of Katrina on Wednesday and it struck on Thursday). I only decided to return home yesterday at 5pm when the sign at the restaurant where I was eating blew off. 3 hours later I lost electricity at my home and here I still sit...sweating, waiting, bored, wondering how many more SoFl will have to endure and what in the heck are we going to do if we get a cat 5?

Waiting for Katrina

Katrina's on her way. Will she be a tropical storm or a hurricane? Liger and Bell are waiting to see.

Dr. Jeckyl & Mr. Hyde

This picture speaks for itself.

Brace Yourself

Poor Trevor got fitted for braces today but as usual he is a good sport.
